Mega Man Battle Network 6: Cybeast Falzar is an RPG where players alternate between a real world setting and a digital cyberspace. The protagonist, Lan, explores physical locations and initiates connections to the network for his NetNavi, Mega Man, to enter. Combat occurs in cyberspace, blending strategic chip selection with real-time movement as Mega Man fights viruses.

The narrative follows Lan's move to Cyber City, where he and Mega Man learn of two ancient entities called Cybeasts. An organization seeks to revive these creatures, leading Mega Man to merge with the phoenix-like Falzar. This grants a temporary transformation that increases attack power and enhances specific battle chips, though overuse carries a risk.

Gameplay systems include the Cross Change feature, allowing Mega Man to adopt abilities from defeated enemy Navis, which can also be combined with the Cybeast power. The title can connect with its counterpart, Cybeast Gregar, for trading exclusive battle chips or competitive battles.
