About Ys III: Wanderers from Ys

Ys III: Wanderers from Ys shifts the series from a top-down perspective to a side-scrolling format. This change introduces a direct, directional sword combat system, replacing the earlier method of attacking by contact.

The narrative follows Adol Christin, who accompanies his friend Dogi to investigate troubling events in Dogi's hometown of Redmont. Exploration is aided by a new jumping ability and involves using key items to overcome obstacles and advance the plot.

Magical rings are introduced as a series first, providing Adol with supportive abilities like healing and defense. These elements combine to form an action-oriented adventure distinct from its predecessors.
