Super Ninja Boy

Super Ninja Boy is an action role-playing game where players control ninja apprentices investigating a surge of monsters after an alien visitation. The narrative begins with a spacecraft arriving in Chinaland, its leader Rub-A-Doc promoting peace before departing, which is followed by unexplained creature appearances. The ninja masters Jack and Ryu are dispatched to look into a possible connection.

Gameplay integrates traditional RPG systems like character leveling and equipment management, with both ninjas sharing the same statistical profile. Combat occurs either through random encounters or visible map enemies, shifting to a side-scrolling action scene where characters can jump, attack, and use special abilities. Destroying bonus boxes on these battlefields provides various aids, and encounters conclude after defeating a set number of foes or if the player characters are overcome.

The experience supports solo or cooperative play. A single player controls Jack, while a second can join at any point by visiting an in-game store to take control of Ryu. Against standard enemies, the action is real-time, but boss fights adopt a turn-based structure. In these confrontations, commands are issued for each ninja per turn, utilizing items and learned skills, with the enemy following a similar pattern until one side's health is depleted.
