About Nigel Mansell's World Championship Racing

Nigel Mansell's World Championship Challenge is a Formula 1 racing simulation that arrived during the driver's successful championship period. It occupies a middle ground in its genre, blending simulation elements with more accessible action.

Race events feature a grid of twelve cars, with the number of laps configurable between three and twenty. Prior to starting, players adjust several vehicle parameters including gear ratios, fuel load, tyre type, and wing downforce. Longer races incorporate pit stops as a standard strategic component.

A notable feature in the 16-bit editions is the Improve With Mansell mode. This tutorial system uses a digitized image of Nigel Mansell to provide guidance and feedback during gameplay.
