About Summon Night : Craft Sword Monogatari 2

Summon Night: Craft Sword Monogatari 2 is a Game Boy Advance title where the player assumes the role of an apprentice Craftknight, also known as an Edge Fencer. This character's primary duty is to guard the seal containing a dangerous, uncontrollable summon creature named Goura, a task inherited after a parent's death during a previous attempt to contain it.

Gameplay revolves around the Craftknight's ability to forge and wield weapons. This process is distinct from learning techniques; instead, shapestones and various ores like Iron or Aqua Ore determine a weapon's type and properties. Six fundamental weapon types exist, each necessary to access different areas, and each can be upgraded multiple times. The crafting power comes from a partnership with a chosen Guardian Beast, selected from four options at the game's start, each influencing story interactions and providing support abilities.

Combat occurs in side-scrolling environments against multiple foes. Players can attack with their crafted weapons, which may possess special attacks, or utilize their Guardian Beast for magic, healing, or enchantments. Battles take place in varied locations, not solely dungeons. A unique combat option is the Mono Shift, a temporary transformation into a more powerful form that requires recharging after a single use.
