About QBasic Gorillas

QBasic Gorillas is a two-player artillery game where opponents control gorillas positioned on urban skyscrapers. Players must calculate launch angles and power for their banana bombs, factoring in wind speed, direction, and gravity to achieve a trajectory over the buildings and hit the other gorilla. The urban setting becomes progressively cratered from missed shots. A successful hit results in a brief victory animation for the winning ape.

Included with MS-DOS 5 was QBasic, which also featured the game QBasic Nibbles. This is a snake game where a player-controlled line must consume numbers that appear on screen, causing it to lengthen. The game ends if the snake collides with a wall or its own growing tail. Later levels introduce more obstacles, making navigation challenging. It supports both single-player and two-player modes. Both games are presented using ASCII characters in a text mode interface.
