Wordtris

Review

Arrange falling letters to form words and clear the board before it fills up.

Wordtris was originally released in 1991 for DOS and other computer platforms. The SNES version was released in 1992 in North America by Spectrum Holobyte.

About Wordtris

Wordtris is a word formation game where letters descend into a play area. Players arrange these falling letters to create complete words, which then disappear from the screen.

Progression to higher levels is achieved by clearing a required number of words before the space becomes filled. The scoring system rewards longer words with higher point values.

Occasionally, bombs fall among the letters. These items can be used to remove either individual letters or entire columns, providing a tool for managing the play field.
