About Super Hydlide

Super Hydlide is an action role playing game that continues the series established by its predecessors. The player assumes the role of a prophesied young man tasked with confronting a resurgent evil, the demon Varalys, which threatens the once peaceful land of Hydlide with monstrous invasions and environmental catastrophes.

Gameplay involves selecting a character class such as Warrior, Thief, Priest, or Monk, each with access to melee, ranged, or magical combat. Engaging enemies requires a deliberate button press for attacks, moving beyond the simpler contact based system of earlier titles. The experience is made challenging by survival mechanics including a need for regular sleep and consumption of food to maintain the character's vitality.

Further complexity is introduced through a returning morality system, where the player's actions toward non hostile creatures influence a key late game encounter. The game world operates on an internal clock, adding a layer of management to the adventure as the hero navigates a landscape suddenly populated by mysterious and dangerous doors.
