About Herzog Zwei

Herzog Zwei frames its conflict between two armies, with victory achieved by destroying the opponent's main base. Each participant directly pilots a transforming craft that serves as the primary vehicle for unit deployment and map control.

The core role involves resource management and logistics rather than direct assault. Players acquire various units and must ferry them to strategic points, such as the neutral bases scattered throughout the arena, to capture them. While the human-controlled aircraft can transform into a ground soldier to engage enemy units, it cannot damage bases directly.

Losing this central aircraft results in it respawning at the player's own headquarters. The ground forces deployed by the player can attack enemy units but share the same limitation of being unable to assault base structures, making the capture and defense of key positions the central strategic loop.
