モノポリー

Buy properties, build houses, and bankrupt opponents in this portable adaptation of the board game.

The Game Boy version of Monopoly, developed by Sculptured Software and published by Parker Brothers, was released in 1991. The original Monopoly board game was first published by Parker Brothers in 1935.

About Monopoly

Monopoly for Game Boy adapts the property trading board game to a portable format. The top down board view is supplemented by central animations for dice throws and token movement.

Player count supports up to four participants, with any vacant positions filled by computer opponents. Eight distinct AI characters are available from a portrait gallery. Pre game setup allows modification of starting capital, property ownership, and building levels. Several preset scenarios with fixed starting conditions are included, though full customization is not a feature of this handheld version.

Specialized screens handle auctions and property trades. This release is part of a broader series of ports from Sculptured Software, with visual and scenario differences existing between the 8 bit, 16 bit, and Game Boy Color iterations.
