About Chessmaster

Chessmaster is a digital chess adaptation originally popular on computers, now released for a handheld console. Its design accommodates a wide spectrum of player skill, from those learning the rules to experienced competitors.

Instructional support is provided through a tutorial system and a library of over 150 historical matches for study. Players can test their skills against 18 different computer opponents, each with distinct strategic approaches. For local play, a two-player mode is available using a link cable.

The game includes ten different visual sets for the chess pieces, offering both traditional and more whimsical styles. This version is noted for having sold more than five million copies across its various releases.
