About Battle Arena Toshinden

Battle Arena Toshinden on Game Boy adapts the fighting game into a 2D format, departing from the original 3D style. The roster consists of the same eight combatants, though they are rendered with super-deformed character designs.

Victory in combat is achieved through two primary methods: exhausting an opponent's life gauge or forcing them from the arena. Each fighter possesses unique special moves and a single desperation attack, which becomes available only when their health is critically low.

Players can engage in three distinct modes, including a story campaign that diverges from other versions by offering a different final opponent to unlock. The other options allow for matches against computer control or another person.
