About WWF Wrestlemania 2000

WWF Wrestlemania 2000 for the Game Boy Color is a 2D wrestling game featuring a roster of sixteen wrestlers. Its core gameplay involves side-view matches in a ring that scrolls to follow the action, with moves executed through context-sensitive use of the system's two buttons and control pad.

Several single-player modes are offered. The primary Championship mode functions as a story-driven campaign for the WWF title, interspersed with TV-style narrative scenes. Other options include single and tag team matches, a Survivor Series elimination format with teams, and a Gauntlet mode that pits the player against every other wrestler consecutively. A non-combative training mode is also present.

Combat mechanics allow for varied moves depending on proximity, with grapples enabling more specific techniques. Each character possesses a unique finishing move, but its use is restricted by an individual bio-rhythm system, requiring timing for activation. For multiplayer, a link cable enables two players to compete in standard or cage matches.
