About The Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland

The Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland for the Game Boy Color is a platformer based on the Sesame Street film. The core objective involves Elmo traveling to Grouchland through Oscar the Grouch's trash can to recover a lost blanket.

Gameplay consists of eight stages, with six standard platforming levels and two distinct types. One special stage depicts the initial descent into Grouchland, while another features a mine cart sequence. The journey progresses from Sesame Street to a location called Huxley's House.

Players begin with three lives and can collect more during play. The game offers configurable audio settings, allowing sound effects and music to be toggled independently, and includes selectable difficulty modes. Upon losing all lives, the option to continue with a fresh set of three lives or proceed to the game over screen is presented. The experience concludes after finishing all stages, exhausting three continues, or opting to end the game early.
