About Perfect Dark

Perfect Dark for the Game Boy Color is a top-down action game that serves as a narrative prequel to its Nintendo 64 counterpart. The player controls Joanna Dark during a final field test mission set in a South American jungle, where she must infiltrate a secret facility producing cyborgs and encounters the dataDyne corporation for the first time.

Gameplay involves combat against various enemies using an arsenal of weapons, which can be assigned separately to the left and right hands for dual-wielding. Players can search defeated foes for ammunition and other items. Beyond standard combat, the experience is diversified with several mini-games and specific scenarios, including target practice, vehicle driving segments, and sniper rifle sections that utilize a scope view.

The mission structure includes confrontations with significant adversaries, such as enemy cyborgs and helicopters, which function as boss battles. These elements combine to form a mission undertaken prior to Joanna Dark's official induction into the Carrington Institute.
