About Boarder Zone

Boarder Zone for the Game Boy Color presents a snowboarding experience distinct from its PC counterpart. The gameplay utilizes a pseudo three dimensional perspective where the player views the action from behind their boarder as the slope moves toward the screen.

Players select from four characters: Sandy, Travis, Alain, and Tara. The available tricks form an extensive list, including various grabs like Mute and Tail, spins up to 1080 degrees, and flips such as the McTwist, typically executed through combination inputs.

Primary engagement comes from two core modes. Competition encompasses races against AI, trick scoring challenges, time trials, and hybrid events. The separate Challenge mode focuses on surpassing records in specific events, including slalom and a two player race requiring a link cable.

Additional features include a practice environment and a ghost replay function that displays a recording of the player's best performance. Obstacles on the course begin small in the distance and grow as the boarder approaches them.
