About Zoids Saga

Zoids Saga is set on the planet Zi, where mechanized robots known as Zoids are used in a conflict for planetary control. The narrative involves a temporal fusion event, explained by a character called Dr. T, which brings together warriors from different eras. The player controls Zeru, who allies with characters including Van, Fiona, and Bit Cloud to address the resulting chaos, a quest that involves rescuing a kidnapped individual named Juno.

Gameplay revolves around turn-based tactical battles, supporting team match-ups of up to six units per side. Prior to combat, players configure a deck command that sets strategic parameters for the entire team, affecting rewards and enabling special actions like fusing multiple Zoids into a larger creature. During a turn, options include attacking, waiting to regenerate, or using items. Defeated Zoids leave behind crystals, which can be taken to laboratories found in towns to create new units.

Progression is tied to participating in tournaments to earn currency, which funds the acquisition and customization of a roster. There are 151 base Zoids to collect, each of which can be upgraded and modified with various offensive and defensive parts for different combat ranges. Some Zoids are assisted by organoids, smaller robotic companions that can merge with them to enhance their capabilities.

The primary adventure unfolds across 40 villages. Outside the story, a challenging mode presents consecutive battles of increasing difficulty. Multiplayer functions, facilitated by a link cable, allow for both competitive fights and the trading of Zoids and components.
