About Hopper

Hopper was one of those simple Flash games you'd find in the mid-2000s, a time when a browser could be a quick escape. It didn't have a story or complex graphics, just a clear task set against a sparse, blocky landscape. You controlled a small green square, a character defined more by its function than its form.

You guide this square from the bottom of a mountain to a star waiting at the summit. Movement is basic: left and right arrows to run, the spacebar to jump. The challenge comes from the platforms, which crumble away the moment you leave them, eliminating any path for retreat. This forces you to commit to every leap upward. The game has a steady, deliberate pace; a mistimed jump or a moment of hesitation sends you tumbling back to the start. It feels like a quiet test of precision, where each successful hop brings a small, tangible relief.
