About Freekick Football
Freekick Football was one of those straightforward games you'd find during the Flash era. It didn't try to be a full simulation, just a quick way to take penalty kicks against a friend or the computer. You loaded it in a browser, and a minute later you were already playing.
You control the kicker and the goalkeeper in alternating turns. Your main job is to score when you're shooting and to save the ball when you're in goal. With the mouse, you adjust the shot's angle and then hold to build power before releasing. As the keeper, you pick a direction to dive, hoping you guessed right. The game moves at a brisk pace, with each shot feeling decisive. It can be surprisingly difficult to beat a skilled opponent, turning each match into a series of tense, quick decisions. The experience is simple and direct, built entirely around that moment of anticipation before the ball flies toward the net.
