About Hardcourt
Hardcourt was one of those games you'd find buried in a Flash portal in the early 2000s. It didn't try to be a simulation. It took the basic idea of a basketball game and twisted it into something faster and more chaotic, a common approach for Flash titles that prioritized quick, accessible fun over realism.
You control a single player on a two-on-two court. The moment-to-moment play is simple: you move, pass, and shoot. The twist is the dedicated punch button. You can shove or punch the opponent to steal the ball, which turns every possession into a brief scuffle. The main objective is just to score more baskets than the other team, but getting there is rarely a clean affair. The pacing is quick, with short matches that can become frantic as both players spam punches near the hoop. It's a messy, aggressive little game that feels more like a playground argument than organized sport.
