About Field Command
Field Command was one of those tactical games you'd find on a Flash portal in the mid-2000s. It didn't have the budget of a big studio release, but it carved out a space for players who wanted a straightforward military challenge. The game presented a simple premise without much fanfare, focusing instead on the immediate task at hand.
You control a squad of soldiers in a jungle setting, issuing orders with mouse clicks. Your main objective is to eliminate all enemy units in each sector. You manage movement, direct fire, and sometimes use limited special abilities like calling in an airstrike. The pace is deliberate, with mistakes punished quickly by enemy ambushes. It feels like a careful, sometimes tense, puzzle of positioning and firepower.
