About Backyards Buzzing
Backyards Buzzing was one of those simple, absorbing strategy games from the Flash era. You would find it on a portal, load it up in your browser, and spend an afternoon figuring out its little systems. It had a quiet, unassuming presence among more frantic titles.
You control a squad of ant-like insects, moving them across a grid-based backyard. Each turn, you position your units, then watch as they and the enemy forces clash automatically. The main goal is to eliminate all opposing bugs before they eliminate yours. You manage resources to spawn more units, and you learn to use the terrain, like tall grass, for defensive cover. The pace is deliberate, almost chess-like, but a single misstep can quickly unravel your position. It feels like a careful, tactical puzzle where every decision carries weight.
