About Unlimited Adventures

Unlimited Adventures is a construction tool for designing fantasy role playing games, particularly those using the Forgotten Realms setting. A finished design consists of modules, which are levels built by placing architectural features and then defining events. These events govern all significant gameplay occurrences, from combat encounters and dialogue to party management and visits to specific locations.

The tool includes a substantial library of artwork for monsters, characters, and items, which can be supplemented with custom imports. Designers have access to many pre defined creatures, such as goblins, dragons, and humanoid foes, all of which can be modified. For illustration, the package contains a complete sample design titled "Heirs to Skull Crag".

Games created with this system replicate the structure of the Gold Box series. Players guide a party through first person exploration of towns and dungeons, engaging in activities like conversation and commerce. Combat shifts to a tactical, top down view where individual party members are directed against opponents.
