About Ultima: Worlds of Adventure 2 – Martian Dreams

Ultima: Worlds of Adventure 2 - Martian Dreams is a top-down role-playing game built on the Ultima VI engine. Its gameplay involves navigating a seamless graphical world, engaging in turn-based combat with a party, and progressing through interactions with characters and objects.

The narrative begins after the events of The Savage Empire, where the protagonist and Dr. Spector obtain a time-travel book. This leads them to 1893, where they observe Percival Lowell's space cannon project. An accidental launch during the Chicago World's Columbian Exposition sends numerous historical figures to Mars, with the player's group in pursuit.

Players will encounter and converse with various real-world personalities from that era, including Marie Curie and Nikola Tesla, who are integrated into the story. Exploring the Martian environment and managing inventory are central activities, continuing the style established by the first Worlds of Ultima title.

The first location: can you get out of here?..
Example of interactivity: dropped clothes all over the forest path. Note the exotic trees
Shooting hostile alien critters. Those creeping cacti tend to attack in large swarms. It's a good thing you've got Belgian weapons... though I'd prefer waffles and chocolate from the same country
