About The Horde

The Horde casts the player as Chauncey, a servant who gains a king's favor and a village after a royal rescue. This favor comes with the responsibility to protect the province from consuming creatures known as Hordlings.

Gameplay revolves around defending key assets from these attacks. The player must safeguard villagers, agricultural crops, and livestock. Performance in these defensive efforts directly influences the player's progression, as success yields improved equipment and greater royal recognition.

Various Hordling types exist, each with distinct behaviors for consuming the resources under the player's stewardship. The primary measure of achievement is the survival rate of both the population and the food supply after each seasonal onslaught, making the game challenging. Advancing brings not only greater rewards from the monarch but also increased opposition from a rival, the High Chancellor.
