About J.R.R. Tolkien’s Riders of Rohan

J.R.R. Tolkien's Riders of Rohan is a game adaptation centered on the events of The Two Towers. Its narrative begins immediately prior to the pivotal defense of Helm's Deep, where the armies of Rohan confront the forces commanded by Saruman.

The gameplay operates on two distinct levels. One perspective involves the strategic command of large armies across a world map, managing their broader movements and engagements. A separate, more immediate mode allows for direct control of characters from the Fellowship, who can engage enemies in various forms of combat.

This character based action includes arcade style melee fighting, ranged attacks against foes like orcs, and magical duels. The overall structure mirrors that of the earlier title War in Middle Earth, blending grand strategy with individual unit action.
