About Star Control

Star Control is a science-fiction wargame featuring a conflict between two primary factions: the Alliance of Free Stars and the predatory Ur-Quan Hierarchy. Players can engage with its systems at a fair pace, learning the interface and controls gradually.

Combat revolves around distinct warships, with each vessel offering specific maneuvering, firing, and a unique special ability. The game provides two main modes of play. One is the Melee module, which allows for direct combat against the computer or another player using any of 16 available ships from either fleet. For those seeking a more structured experience, a selection of challenging preset scenarios is also available.
