About Plague of the Moon

The player controls Alucarda, who is driven by a mission of revenge following the execution of her mother Margaret. Margaret was a sorceress who cursed the land from her pyre after being condemned by a corrupt official known as the Bloody Judge.

Gameplay is structured as a third-person adventure utilizing a point-and-click interface. Interaction involves examining scenes, gathering items, and solving puzzles, with progress tracked by a Sierra-style scoring system. The adventure perspective is occasionally broken by first-person combat sequences.

Alucarda starts without any magical powers, requiring the player to acquire witchcraft abilities during the course of the game. The initial quest for vengeance is noted as something that may evolve or change.
