About MegaTraveller 2: Quest for the Ancients

MegaTraveller 2: Quest for the Ancients is a computer role-playing game derived from the Traveller tabletop system. Its setting is a far-future galaxy where a long-vanished civilization, known as the Ancients, has left behind dangerous artifacts.

The central plot involves a planetary emergency on Rhylanor, where a malfunctioning Ancient structure is generating a corrosive substance. To prevent the world's destruction, a team of characters must travel across four distinct star regions. Their journey involves investigating numerous planets, each offering its own settlements and optional missions, to find a solution.

Gameplay is structured around exploration across more than one hundred star systems, with the narrative progression being non-linear. The player's party can freely visit these worlds, engaging with the local situations they find there while pursuing the main objective.
