About Lands of Lore: The Throne of Chaos

Lands of Lore: The Throne of Chaos is a first-person, real-time role-playing game structured around dungeon exploration. The narrative centers on a quest to cure King Richard of Gladstone Keep, who has been poisoned by the shape-shifting sorceress Scotia. A party of up to three characters, selected from four distinct protagonists with unique starting attributes, undertakes this journey.

Gameplay involves navigating maze-like environments where combat and puzzle-solving are key. Characters engage in real-time fights using melee, ranged, or magical attacks, with a cooldown period dictated by their speed. Skill progression is semi-automatic, improving through use in combat: Fighting for melee, Rogue for ranged, and Magic for spells. Equipment is managed through a paper doll interface.

The party explores dungeons containing secret areas and interactive objects, with character comments sometimes providing context. The CD release of the game features full voice acting for dialogue.
