About Ečstatica

Ecstatica is a DOS title that blends action with adventure mechanics, set in a village overrun by supernatural creatures. The player controls an adventurer who must break a spell on a sorceress and confront the dark forces responsible for the invasion.

Gameplay involves exploring the environment to collect items for puzzles and weapons for defense. Movement includes walking, sneaking to evade enemies, and running. Combat occurs in real time, beginning with melee strikes and later incorporating ranged options, while also allowing for parrying attacks.

The overall experience is a challenging survival horror adventure, sharing stylistic similarities with games like Alone in the Dark. The central objectives are to awaken Ecstatica, rescue the villagers, and defeat the underlying evil.
