About Duke Nukum: Episode 3 – Trapped in the Future

Duke Nukum: Episode 3 - Trapped in the Future concludes a trilogy of side-scrolling action games. The player controls Duke Nukum, a hero who must stop the plans of Dr. Proton, a scientist who has built an army of mechanical Techbots to conquer the world.

This final chapter sees Duke transported to a future entirely under Dr. Proton's control, where he begins with limited resources. Gameplay involves navigating levels, shooting various enemies, and finding exits to progress. The environments can be partially altered, as some obstacles are vulnerable to gunfire.

Player progression is supported by collecting items that restore health or enhance weaponry, alongside special inventory objects. Points are awarded for defeating foes, and bonus scores can be earned at level's end based on specific accomplishments, such as eliminating all security cameras. The game shares its technical foundation with Crystal Caves, blending shooting with platform navigation.
