About Turrican II: The Final Fight

Turrican II: The Final Fight is a home computer title that blends platforming and shooting mechanics. The player controls Bren McGuire, who survives an attack by a mega-robot known as The Machine and uses experimental Turrican armor to fight back.

The structure alternates between expansive, non-scrolling platforming worlds and dedicated horizontal shooter segments. Exploration is encouraged in the platforming sections, which contain hidden items and vary in tone from bright and colorful to progressively darker settings.

Combat utilizes a primary arm cannon capable of firing several projectile types, including a rebounding shot, a large laser, and a wide-angle multi-beam. The armor itself provides additional systems: a rotating continuous beam, full-screen energy barriers, and a temporary morph into a rolling, invincible shuriken that can drop bombs. A separate, single-use per life transformation allows the shuriken to fly autonomously while firing in all directions.
