About Super Widget

Super Widget is a Super Nintendo platformer adapted from an animated series. The player controls an alien apprentice tasked with defending Earth from environmental threats, accompanied by an intelligent companion.

Progression involves navigating distinct worlds, where collecting one hundred special coins grants an additional life. The core mechanic centers on power-ups that transform the protagonist into various creatures, each with a unique projectile attack. Gathering multiple identical power-ups enhances these forms, but taking damage reverts the character to a previous state or costs a life if in the base form.

Each world concludes with a challenging confrontation against a boss enemy. These encounters require pattern recognition and strategic use of the character's attacks. Upon victory, performance is evaluated on completion time and combat effectiveness, with a corresponding experience point reward.
