About Mutant Fighter

Mutant Fighter is a fighting game for the Super Nintendo where players face off in one-on-one combat. Its roster consists primarily of archetypes like the Fighter or Amazoness, or creatures from myth such as a Minotaur or Dragon, with Hercules being the sole exception with an actual name.

The arena for these fights is a square battlefield, a departure from the side-view stages common in the genre. Combat incorporates wrestling-style techniques including grapples, and fighters can build up a special energy reserve to execute more powerful attacks.

Players can engage in a challenging single-player campaign against a fixed sequence of computer opponents, or select any character for a two-player versus match.
