About Arcana

Arcana is a first person role playing game where the player controls a protagonist named Rooks. His quest involves confronting a villain called Galneon, and he utilizes a deck of cards as his primary means of power.

The gameplay is structured around a central village that provides access to services, from which the player selects fixed destinations on a world map. These destinations are dungeons that are explored from a first person perspective. Combat is initiated randomly and proceeds in a turn based format, with actions selected from a menu for each party member. Character progression occurs through gaining experience, which improves their statistics.

A defining visual element is the representation of all characters and monsters as illustrated cards. These cards can possess elemental attributes. Rooks can summon one elemental creature to assist in battle, but he must first locate them during his journey. His party can expand to include two additional characters.
