XDR: X-Dazedly-Ray is a science fiction shooter that scrolls horizontally. Its structure involves six distinct levels, each concluding with a confrontation against a major opponent.

Players can modify their arsenal through a weapon upgrade system. The experience can be adjusted to be more challenging or less so, as the title offers three separate settings for difficulty.
