About Ultimate Soccer

Ultimate Soccer presents a football simulation with sixty four international teams, each possessing distinct ratings for attributes like strength and ball control. Its visual presentation employs a pseudo three dimensional perspective reminiscent of certain American football titles, where the camera angle can be adjusted vertically to alter the view of the pitch.

A notable feature is the extensive customization available for the match physics. Parameters such as wind conditions, ball weight, and player momentum can be adjusted, directly influencing tactics; a lighter ball facilitates longer passes but is more affected by weather, while a heavier one stays grounded. This system allows for varied strategic approaches during play.

The available modes include friendly matches, tournaments, leagues, and a five a side option where the ball remains in constant play. However, the absence of any save function means all these modes must be completed in a single session, which can be challenging for longer competitions. This title was later followed by related games in the Striker series on several platforms.
