About College Football's National Championship II
College Football's National Championship II operates on a game engine identical to its predecessor, which itself is derived from a professional football title. The core experience involves managing one of thirty two collegiate teams, with rosters updated for the 1994 season. Five institutions from the earlier installment were replaced by five different schools in this version.
Statistical tracking is a feature, with nineteen different categories recorded throughout play. Teams utilize authentic offensive and defensive playbooks attributed to them. Standard modes of play include Exhibition, Tournament, and Season options.
The cartridge includes a battery backup function for saving game progress and statistics. Multiplayer support allows for up to four participants using a multi-tap accessory. Audio changes from the previous version consist of new sound effects and the removal of the announcer's commentary.
