Rock n' Roll Racing

Review
Also known as
Rock 'n' Roll Racing ロックンロールレーシング

An arcade combat racer where you upgrade your car with earnings from weaponized races.

Rock n' Roll Racing was originally released for the Sega Genesis in 1993, with the SNES version following later that year. The Sega Genesis version is the earliest commercial release of the game on any platform.

About Rock n' Roll Racing

Rock n' Roll Racing is a combat racing title where vehicular weaponry is central to the experience. Cars are equipped with both forward-firing arms and deployable hazards to use against opponents during races.

Financial rewards earned from race completion provide the means for vehicle upgrades. The game's audio presentation is built around a selection of licensed rock music tracks.

Its design shares significant similarities with the earlier title RPM Racing. A later PC release existed, which was an adaptation of the Super Nintendo version utilizing emulation technology and offering a restricted number of courses.
