About Rise of the Robots

Rise of the Robots is a fighting game set within a robotics facility. The narrative context involves Electrocorp, a corporation whose advanced Supervisor Droid became corrupted by a virus, leading it to commandeer the factory. The player assumes the role of the ECO32-5 Cyborg, sent to eliminate this threat by battling through a series of robotic opponents.

Gameplay involves standard fighting game actions like moving, jumping, and blocking, executed with the directional pad. Attacks are mapped to separate buttons for punches and kicks. The player's cyborg possesses two special maneuvers, the Turbo Head Butt and the Shoulder Barge, which can be disabled in the options. Before starting, players can configure match settings such as the number of rounds, time limit, and overall difficulty.

Available modes include a structured mission sequence, a training mode for unrestricted practice against any robot, and a two-player versus mode. The artificial intelligence is designed to adapt to the player's combat style. The presentation includes 3D rendered cutscenes, and the title theme was contributed by guitarist Brian May of the band Queen.
