Guide Pac-Man through scrolling isometric mazes, eating dots and evading ghosts that can now jump.

Pac-Mania was originally released in arcades in 1987. The Sega Genesis/Mega Drive version was released in 1991 by Tengen in North America and by Domark in Europe.

About Pac-Mania

Pac-Mania presents a maze based challenge where the player controls Pac-Man. The primary objective is to clear each stage by consuming every dot within it. The environment is viewed from an isometric angle, and its size exceeds the screen area, requiring the viewport to scroll during play.

Opposition comes from several ghosts that patrol the maze with the intent of ending the player's progress. A strategic element is introduced through power pellets, which when eaten, cause the ghosts to become vulnerable and change color. During this period, Pac-Man can chase and consume them for additional points.

Movement capabilities are expanded beyond the original formula. The character can now jump, which offers a method to evade threats. This mechanic introduces a challenging layer, as certain ghosts are also capable of jumping, creating the potential for collisions even while airborne.
