Final Zone

Review
Also known as
FZ Senki Axis FZ戦記アクシス

Control a powerful mech suit across seven stages, using varied weapons to eliminate the enemy Bloody Axis forces.

Final Zone (FZ Senki Axis) was developed by Wolf Team and released for the Sega Genesis in 1990 in Japan; this is the original platform and earliest commercial release of the game.

About Final Zone

Final Zone is set in a future century where a new type of military hardware, the N.A.P. power-suit, has become the primary weapon following the banning of older arms. The player controls Howie Bowie, a soldier from the El Shiria Military's Undead unit, who pilots the advanced K-19 Phantom model.

The objective is a preemptive strike against the hostile Bloody Axis faction across seven distinct environments. These range from urban streets and deserts to the enemy headquarters. The core action involves combat with the equipped N.A.P., which can be outfitted with a selection of fourteen armaments, such as flamethrowers and landmines.

The conflict culminates in a direct confrontation with an opposing mechanized suit. The mission's urgency is defined by the need to neutralize the Axis threat before they can launch their own attack.
