About Captain America and the Avengers

Captain America and the Avengers is a side scrolling beat 'em up supporting up to four players at once. Players control one of four heroes from the Marvel universe: Captain America, Iron Man, Hawkeye, or Vision. Their objective is to stop the Red Skull and his assembled team of super villains from world conquest.

The adventure spans five distinct stages. While the core gameplay involves brawling through side scrolling environments, several stages shift to a shooting format. These segments have the heroes confronting threats in aerial, underwater, and outer space settings. Other Avengers provide limited support; Quicksilver occasionally delivers restorative items, and the Wasp assists during the shooting sections.

A roster of villains serves as major obstacles, including Living Laser, Klaw, Whirlwind, Grim Reaper, Wizard, Mandarin, Juggernaut, Ultron, Controller, and Crossbones, culminating in a final confrontation with the Red Skull.
