About Bio-Ship Paladin

Bio-Ship Paladin, known in its original release as Uchū Senkan Gomorrah, is a horizontal shooter where players pilot a powerful fighter called Gomorrah. The setting involves the defense of the planet Atlantal against an alien invasion force called The Aggressors, who have devastated the capital.

Control of the bio-ship involves two distinct systems: the ship moves and fires forward conventionally, while a separate aiming cursor allows for shots in any direction. This dual control scheme was adjusted for the home version, making the game challenging as the cursor can only be moved when the ship is stationary. Players progress through nine stages, each concluding with a boss encounter.

Gameplay is supported by collectible power-ups that modify the ship's capabilities. These enhancements can increase firing power, improve movement speed, or boost armor, the latter also causing a visible increase in the ship's size. The experience supports both single-player and two-player simultaneous modes.
