Alisia Dragoon

Review
Also known as
アリシア ドラグーン

This challenging platformer features fast-paced combat with four elemental familiars.

Alisia Dragoon was released for the Sega Genesis in 1992 in Japan and North America; it is the original platform and no earlier release exists.

About Alisia Dragoon

Alisia Dragoon is a platform game where the player controls the title character on a quest for vengeance across eight stages. Her primary means of attack is a thunder magic that automatically targets multiple foes, though its use is governed by a depleting and recharging magic gauge.

The gameplay is considered challenging, requiring management of both Alisia's magic and a selection of four upgradeable monster companions. Each companion possesses distinct abilities, and they can be swapped at any time during play. These allies can be defeated, necessitating the search for specific power-ups to restore them.

Progression involves collecting items to enhance both the protagonist's magical capabilities and those of her creatures. When the magic meter is full, a powerful screen-clearing lightning attack becomes available.
