About Top Players' Tennis

Top Players' Tennis Featuring Chris Evert & Ivan Lendl is a sports simulation for the NES centered on professional tennis tournaments. Players can engage in matches across several formats, including singles and doubles, with options for solo play against the computer or multiplayer competition.

A career mode allows for participation in the sport's major Grand Slam events. One can select a licensed professional athlete or create and manage a custom player. This involves distributing points across various attributes like speed and technique to define their capabilities.

Progress in the tournament circuit is challenging, requiring victories to improve a player's rank and enhance their skills. The game supports continuing a custom career via a password system. For group play, it accommodates multiple participants, including the use of a peripheral for four-player doubles matches that focus directly on the premier championships.
