About Sweet Home

Sweet Home is a Nintendo Entertainment System title that blends Japanese role-playing systems with survival horror themes. The setting is a remote mansion once inhabited by the painter Mamiya Ichirou, which a team of five investigators enters to document rumored frescoes. They become trapped by a spectral manifestation of the painter, forcing them to uncover the fate of a previous vanished team while seeking an escape.

Gameplay involves managing the party of five characters, each possessing a unique tool essential for progression. These items allow for puzzle-solving, such as unlocking doors, clearing obstructions, or taking photographs. The player forms different subgroups from the available characters to handle both exploration and challenging turn-based combat against random monsters, with character progression through leveling and equipment.
