Solstice: The Quest for the Staff of Demnos presents a rescue mission within the confines of Kastlerock fortress. The player controls Shadax, whose objective is to locate six fragments of a magical staff to overcome the mage Morbius and free Princess Eleanor.

Gameplay involves navigating an isometric three-dimensional environment, blending exploration with puzzle-solving and action. The fortress contains many rooms populated by hostile creatures and various traps, creating a challenging experience. Progress is facilitated by discovering items such as keys and magic potions, which aid in overcoming obstacles and accessing new areas.
