A top-down racing game where you must avoid traffic and manage fuel to reach each finish line in time.

Road Fighter was originally released in arcades by Konami in 1984. The NES/Famicom version was released in Japan on March 1, 1991, making 1991 the earliest commercial release year for the NES platform version.

About Road Fighter

Road Fighter is a top-down racing title where the primary objective involves reaching a finish line within a set time limit. The player's vehicle must avoid collisions with roadside barriers and other traffic, as such impacts deplete a gasoline resource that governs continued operation.

This fuel supply can be replenished by collecting specific items scattered along the route. Navigating the course presents a challenging hazard in the form of purple automobiles, which are distinguished by their unpredictable lane-changing behavior. An additional environmental consideration is spilled oil, which reduces traction on the road surface.
